‘East West Light’, is a chance to relax, recover and drink in the inspiring ethos of East West Sanctuary. There will also be some hill-walking and a visit the famous Hungarian spa baths. In addition, there will be a day’s visit to the Pilis hills, where you will visit the sacred spot of Doboko, and its meditation stone, thought by many to be the heart centre of the world, and eat out in one of the local restaurants.

Hungarian Javas traditions ( relax and restore)
The Hungarian Javas traditions draw on ancient Hungarian spiritual practice combined with Buddhist and Ayurvedic teachings. Participants learn how to balance health and diet through careful analysis of bodily energies, and personal history to find their own individual blueprint for leading a holistic life. A typical day will include yoga, astrological analyis , Ayurvedic principles of herbal and food restoratives, meditation and personal and group reflection.
Individual personal development and/or spiritual counselling will be available on a one-to-one basis during this period. Participants will also be able to have one massage throughout their stay.
In between sessions, you may stroll in the local village, or walk/bike ride in the local forests, or simply relax in the calming environment of the East West Sanctuary.

Touching the Soul: Working with Subtle Energies
October 4/5
The pressure of modern life is so intense that it often leaves us out of connection with ourselves, others and our environment. This disconnection leaves our souls languishing with no meeting point. The multi-layered magic of our world escapes us. This workshop offers a process of slowing down so that we can reveal some of the energetic and psychological defences that isolate us. Through group meditative practices and reflections, we explore the world of the subtle senses, and through it find a deeper connection with our souls.
The practices are drawn from Tibetan Kum Nye yoga, meditation, Buddhist, archetypal and body psychotherapy in a unique fusion of practices that is beginning to take root in Hungary. Participants will be lead through a spiritual process of deepening connection with themselves and one another, enabling them to open to the subtler vibrations of the universe which supports us.
The workshop is open to all, but would be particularly valuable to psychologists wishing to expand their work, or spiritual/humanist practitioners wishing to find further ways of embodying and deepening their own practice.
